Ahead of the Clean-Up Day, you can already start collecting the following trash:

  • Plastic bottles (PET & yellow bin waste)
  • Colored plastic lids
  • Bottle caps
  • Cigarette butts
  • Disposable cups

On June 5th, there will be three Clean-Up stations where you can pick up BonnOrange trash bags and dispose the collected garbage (11 am – 5 pm).

  1. China Boat (Clean Up 1)
  2. Ristorante Canale Grande (Clean Up 2 Plus)
  3. Limperich – Southern tip of the tree allee (Clean Up 3)

At the second clean-up station in the middle, you will also find bins for separate waste collection and recycling as well as trash art, educational material on waste prevention from Zero Waste Bonn, GreenPeace and other initiatives.

The nearby globe sculpture of public artist Arnd Drossel will be filled with plastic bottles to raise awareness of plastic pollution in rivers and oceans. The Paderborn artist already set up this sculpture at the Hofgarten earlier in spring to encourage people to take action on climate change and pledge to take care of Mother Earth. https://mypromise.earth/

The RHEIN RANGER (aka Daniel Breitfelder) will also take part in the creative activation to revive and protect our ecosystems. The Bonn-based actor says that Corona has changed his life. While theaters were closed, he decided to clean up the Rhine shore on his twelve-kilometer jogging route in Bonn, every day since January.

Breitfelder decided to live packaging-free and vegan and created the Rhein Ranger pulic art persona as a symbol of a protector of our planet and to promote of the elimatination of single use waste.
